Sasha is
a multilingual multimedia producer and founder of
AREA
ILLUSIONS, an international team of multimedia
artists, creators, performers, designers, engineers and producers,
officially formed in 1999. While mainly a music producer and artist
developer, he has experienced and mastered various branches of the
multimedia industry such as sound production and design (location
sound, live stage mixing and studio), video and film production and
postproduction including camera operation and video editing, film
scoring, theater, web design, graphic design and computer
technologies and their various uses. Yet songwriting, music
composition, performance and production have been his forte since
early childhood.
Born in
the year 1972 in Zagreb, Yugoslavia (now Croatia), he grew up in the
republics of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 1985 he moved to Mexico City where he
studied and worked until 1990 when he returned to Yugoslavia to do
the obligatory one year military service in the Yugoslavian army
to find himself in the middle of the civil war. Later in 1991 he
finished a radio and telecommunications specialization in Mexico and
returned to Belgrade (Yugoslavia) to perform, tour and release an
album with his rock band ZID in 1992. He finally relocated to Los
Angeles (California, USA) in late 1993 to study sound and music
production at the Trebas Institute of Recording Arts and Sciences
and stayed there indefinitely to reside and work.
Lately, he
has been editing and mixing surround sound for feature films,
producing music albums and performing with a few bands of varied
styles across the globe.
He has
worked for most major and other television networks and production
companies in the United States and Mexico (CBS, ABC, NBC, MTV, FOX,
KCAL9, HGTV, Etv, Nickelodeon, SiTV and Televisa to name a few),
many production studios in the USA, Mexico and Europe, and worked
with or for people like
